The Hometown Hero Banner Program is a living tribute created for the community to recognize and honor veterans who served or are serving our country in the United States Armed Forces. 

We are excited to bring this worthwhile program to Bethel Township as part of a community outreach initiative from Siloam United Methodist Church. 

To qualify, a veteran, living or deceased, must have had a connection to Bethel Township (lives or lived in the township or is related to someone who lives in the township) at some point in their life; also, those honored on war memorials within the community and veterans recommended by organized veteran’s groups, such as Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Marine Corps League and Vietnam Veterans of America.

The banner will be 30” x 60”, made of heavy vinyl, printed the same on both sides and will display the service person’s photograph, include their full name, branch of the military and the era of service.  The banners will be displayed on Foulk and Naaman’s Creek Roads. 

Each banner requires the Hometown Hero Banner form to be completed, a photograph of the hero (preferably in uniform), and a payment of $175.00 for each banner payable to:  SILOAM UNITED METHODIST CHURCH by check or online.   In the memo, please indicate Hometown Hero Program and your hero's name.  The applications with photos may be submitted in the following ways:

• You may drop off the form, picture and payment to Siloam United Methodist Church at 3720 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA  19060. Please place all submissions in the mailbox attn: HTH Amanda and Chris.

• You may mail the form, picture, and payment to Siloam at the above address. Please make sure you specify on the envelope “Hometown Hero” program. Payment must be included

• You may also submit the application electronically.  The photograph must be PDF format to be accepted. These submissions can be emailed to: churchoffice@siloamumc.org or filled out online https://form.jotform.com/siloamumc/HTH.
