Inclement Weather Policy

To Our Congregation & Guests:

In anticipation of inclement weather, we wish to remind you of Siloam United Methodist Church's policy regarding such conditions. Our primary concern is for the safety and well-being of our community.

Policy Overview:

Siloam UMC aligns its closures and activity cancellations with the Garnet Valley School District's snow-closing decisions.

Detailed Guidelines:

  • Snow Day:

    • Impact: When the district declares a full snow day, all activities at Siloam (meetings, scouts, NA, etc.) are canceled.

    • Church Status: The church premises will be closed.

    • Meetings: Church council meetings can either be held virtually or rescheduled.

  • Two-Hour Delay:

    • Impact: Siloam will open at 10 am if the district announces a two-hour delay.

    • Arrivals: Volunteers or ministry teams should not arrive before 10 am, unless otherwise instructed by the church office.

  • After-School Cancellation:

    • Impact: All afternoon and evening activities and meetings at Siloam will be canceled.

    • Meetings: Church council meetings have the option to meet virtually or be rescheduled.
